Ascension St. Vincent recognized for heart care

Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center has been recognized in the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals list by Fortune | PINC AI™. Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center was named the number one hospital in the “Top community hospitals” category – the only Ascension ministry recognized in this group. Hospitals reviewed for this award are segmented into three groups – community hospitals, teaching hospitals with cardiovascular residency programs and teaching hospitals without cardiovascular residency programs – and evaluated according to measures that capture, among other things, clinical outcomes, efficiency and patient experience. Compared to nonwinning peer hospitals, those listed in the Top 50 operated at lower cost and had better outcomes, recording significantly higher inpatient survival rates, fewer patients with complications and lower readmission rates.

 Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center also received a Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals™ and was named as one of the top 25 hospitals for heart care in 2023 based on Women’s Choice’s recommendation rating. Women's Choice Award, a group that identifies the best healthcare facilities for empowering women, makes its selections based on key factors including clinical performance, patient satisfaction and accreditations.
